Dimmu Borgir Release Live DVD; Plus Led Zeppelin, Brujeria, & More News That Rules, In Metal File

'It shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums,' guitarist says.

On October 14, Dimmu Borgir — who just happen to be Demi Lovato's favorite black-metal band — will release a a three-disc DVD/CD set called "The Invaluable Darkness," the band's first visual offering since 2002's "World Misanthropy." Boasting live footage shot last year, during gigs in Norway, Germany and England, "The Invaluable Darkness" demonstrates the unbridled furor of seeing Dimmu live, guitarist Silenoz said.

"It shows the honest rawness and atmospheric darkness of our concerts," the Norwegian told Metal File last week, after dismissing recent online rumors that his band's next LP would be coming out through Roadrunner Records. "Basically, it shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums. It's just a different side to the band, basically."

Dimmu Borgir began thinking about "The Invaluable Darkness" two years ago, but didn't start capturing footage until last summer, Silenoz explained, adding that the band will use its current stint on the Blackest of the Black Tour — which got underway Thursday night in Miami Beach, Florida, and also features the tour's founder, Danzig, along with Moonspell, Winds of Plague and Skeletonwitch — to promote the DVD. Dimmu Borgir will not, however, use the tour to write material for their next LP.

"It's our first time on Blackest, but Glenn [Danzig] had wanted to bring us out before [on the tour], but we weren't available until now," Silenoz said. "We've done Ozzfest before, but we're looking forward to this tour more. We did the main stage on Ozzfest, playing in f--_ing broad daylight. This tour will let us play in bigger places, but at the same time showcase more of what the band's about, visually. We are going to concentrate on the tour for now. Some years ago, we tried putting [material] together on the road, but once we got home, we listened back to it, and were like, 'What the f--- is this?' So, we just scrapped it all. We find it's so much better to totally focus on one thing at a time, and then, when that's over, you move on to the next [thing]. We don't really feel like we need to rush things, anyway, so we'll just take our time, and it's going to be what it's going to be."

Dimmu Borgir hope to reconvene in late December to begin writing the follow-up to 2007's diabolically titled In Sorte Diaboli. "We have some ideas floating around already, but we haven't arranged any material yet," he said. "We'll start doing that once the touring for this DVD is over." The band's frontman, Shagrath, is also due to marry soon — he's engaged to actor Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, so that may have an effect on when Dimmu finish their next album, which Silenoz said could be out this coming spring.

"I'm sure [Shagrath] won't let anything get in the way [of] the band — I think, I hope," the guitarist said. "We don't need a Yoko [Ono] situation."

While Dimmu have been at it going on 15 years now, Silenoz said he doesn't think their forthcoming material will be much of a departure from their previous black-metal offerings.

"And we have always been about more than just that term, 'black metal,' " he said. "Luckily for us, the older you get, the less concerned you get with the categorization and putting labels on your music. Things start getting more and more limitless with us, and we know that we operate within certain frames. But we try not to analyze things too much, because it's just going to be working against you in the end. When we write new stuff, we don't think about what we should write — we just get together, and put material together, and if we like it, we keep it. That's the formula, if we even have a formula."

Dimmu Borgir are definitely getting older — guitarist Galder will be missing Blackest because of a recent addition to his family, and Susperia's Cyrus will be filling in for him; while former Vader drummer Dariusz Brzozowski takes over for Hellhammer, who had to leave the band in 2007 after sustaining a neck injury that's now limited the use of his right arm. As Dimmu has gotten on in years, Silenoz admits they have failed to keep pace with some of the more extreme black-metal acts that have followed in their wake.

"We helped open doors for the more extreme bands out there," Silenoz said. "I'm sure we helped open doors for bands like Watain, [insomuch as] people that had maybe started listening to us first then went on to the more extreme stuff. Let's face it — we're not as extreme as Watain and other bands like that, but we're fine with that."

The Blackest of the Black Tour continues through November 10 in San Francisco.

The rest of the week's metal news:

Dimmu's tourmates on Blackest, Winds of Plague, have announced ex-Azusa drummer Art Cruz has joined their ranks — he replaced Jeff Tenney. According to the band's blog, "Art has already added a new spark to the band and has provided us with a solid backbone that will allow us to continue our rampage stronger than ever." ...

What the world really needs is another Led Zeppelin box set, so, on November 4, Rhino Records will issue the Led Zeppelin Definitive Collection Mini LP Replica CD box set. For just $200, you'll get 1969's Led Zeppelin, 1969's Led Zeppelin II, 1970's Led Zeppelin III, 1971's Led Zeppelin IV, 1973's Houses of the Holy, 1975's Physical Graffiti, 1976's Presence, 1976's The Song Remains the Same, 1979's In Through the Out Door and 1982's Coda, as mini-LP replicas, with artwork from the original U.K. LP sleeves. Now, you know what you can get your dad for Christmas. ...

Former Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach and current Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz have teamed up for a new project they're calling Times of Grace, and they've already started working on material for their debut album. According to Leach, "We have two songs to go and we will be finished with all of the vocals. Adam has taken lead vocals in three songs as of yet and he is doing a great job. We also worked on a track yesterday that is so epic — we trade vocals and do two different melodies at the same time. This album went from a melodic metal album to an epic mix of metal/rock/pop/shoegaze and punk. So all of your metal expectations will be incorrect — we are pushing genre boundaries." To quote "Meet the Parents," we'll look forward to that, Greg. ...

The Funeral Pyre and Early Graves will be hitting the road together next month, starting November 7 in South Lake Tahoe, California. Dates are booked through November 21 in Hollywood. ...

The latest incarnation of Brujeria, which features Carcass frontman Jeff Walker and Napalm Death's Shane Embury, have lined up several U.S. dates for this winter. The band will begin its brief trek November 28 in Denver, and wrap things up in Dallas on December 7. ... Demiricous will be touring with the Gates of Slumber starting November 9 in Denver, for a jaunt that's scheduled to run through December 6 in Indianapolis. ...

Nearly three years after Roadrunner Records' Roadrunner United concert, which took over the Nokia Theater in New York's Times Square, the label is now releasing footage from that special night as "Roadrunner United: The Concert." The DVD, which hits stores December 9, will boast two discs and 24 live tracks, including Life of Agony's "River Runs Red," King Diamond's "Abigail," Killswitch's "My Last Serenade," Type O Negative's "Black No. 1" and Sepultura's "Refuse/Resist." ...

According to Blabbermouth, Verrot, bassist for Swedish black-metal outfit Elimi, committed suicide on October 3. In a statement, the band said, "Verrot was a very good friend, brother, an excellent bass player/musician and an important part of Elimi; we respect his decision and hope he'll find his way with the dark gods of Chaos. Let your black flame be a part of what brings forth the day of wrath."

Kristen Stewart Dishes on "Breaking Dawn" with Parade

Taking her turn dishing details about the upcoming "Breaking Dawn" movie, Kristen Stewart is featured in a new interview with Parade magazine.

The 21-year-old actress went in-depth with the publication - as she touched on the much-awaited vampire saga's love scene, wedding and birth scene, among other topics.

Highlights from Kristen's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Parade!

On the love scene the world is waiting for:
"The bed stuff was a little bit technical and weird. Every time I was off-camera, I was making goofy faces at Rob to make him laugh. I couldn?t take it seriously. I had fun when we got romantic in the water though. It felt very spontaneous."

On her big walk down the aisle:
"I was so transcendentally weird that day. It was one of the last things that we shot in the movie, and I felt it all coming to an end. I was uber-aware; my nerves were so close to the surface of my skin. I had all of these beats in my head laid out about what I was going to do in those scenes. Like, I knew that there was a moment where you?re supposed to swell and glow. It was intense. The morning we were filming the wedding, I let all the others go to work without me. I stayed in my bedroom by myself and I did not go to set with everyone else. I tried to have the experience of what I would feel before the wedding and what I felt when it happened for real, and I think it came across. I felt good that day."

On Bella and Edward "hating each other":
"They?re in love, but Edward and Bella are at complete odds in this story. For the first time, you actually feel like they kind of hate each other. I played a moment that was so wrong-feeling to me, it so betrayed everything that I?ve played up until this point. I hated Edward. I truly looked at him like, 'You better steer clear and stay away from me.' Bella turns into a feral animal. She?s protective. She?s a mother. It?s stronger than anything she?s ever felt."

On the sure-to-be-shocking birth scene:
"It?s PG-13, but it?s pretty graphic and bloody. If it is too much for somebody who is younger, than discretion should definitely be used by parents. But it should be impactful, it should be scary. You have a story about somebody who has been fighting for what she believes in. Bella is going, ?I?ll die for my baby, I?ll do anything for it.? I hope it doesn?t scare people, but on the other hand, I hope it does."

On playing a mother:
"I don?t think it?s so far-fetched for someone my age to be having a child. Oddly, circumstances lined up so that one of my best friends in the world just had a baby. I definitely related to the maternal aspect of Bella very strongly, especially because it?s really the main subject of the movie."

On facing the end:
"It?s weird that we are not waiting to go back and do another one, but at the same time, it feels finished. It?s sad and it?s not sad. You sort of have to put yourself into those moments and realize that you should appreciate that they are going by. It?s just time to move on, but I?m sure I?ll talk about Twilight for the rest of my career."

On public appearances becoming easier:
"When it comes to acting, I?ve always been pretty solid and together ever since I was 10 years old on a film set. Doing interviews was hard, but now I?m more able to speak freely about things that affect me. I think before I was just a little bit caught up in expressing things that were, like, so important to me with 500 people that I didn?t know listening. And then more so, the millions of people out there who?d see me. It?s not about growing up. I think as you get older you just change."

On how going out can be hard to do:
"It?s weird, sometimes I can become very reclusive. Sometimes I?m like, ?Oh, I can?t deal with anything right now, I cannot see anybody.? Like the idea of going into a 7-11 and having someone look into your face, you are like, ?Agghh!? You are just so sort of like, ?Oh God, they are probably taking in like every little thing.?"

On what?s ahead:
"I still love to write. I?ve been working a lot, so I haven?t moved to Sydney, Australia, like I?ve talked about. I had huge aspirations to go to school and I lost them. I?m not a very rigid person, so I don?t have good self-discipline, to be honest. I have to be forced to do things. But it?s OK. I?m so happy and truly challenged, and those were my aspirations as a kid. I?m all good with where I am, I think."

On the legacy:
"Twilight has made people realize that there?s a huge desire, a huge hunger, for more female-targeted projects. Other than that, I think fans will look back and probably still hold on to the story. I can?t imagine that the fans that we see show up at Comic-Con in 10 years aren?t going to be fans. They?ll still definitely remember why they loved it."

Them Crooked Vultures make their debut with a post-Lollapalooza set.
By James Montgomery

Officially, Lollapalooza ended Sunday night in Chicago's Grant Park, with dueling sets from the Killers and Jane's Addiction. Unofficially, it ended very early Monday morning, across town at venerable rock club the Metro, with a surprise show by Them Crooked Vultures.

To the unfamiliar, the Vultures might seem like an odd choice to close out Lolla weekend ... until you realize that they're made up of Foo Fighters frontman/ former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age mastermind Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin legend John Paul Jones. And their gig at the Metro was their world premiere.

According to some reports, the Vultures actually turned down Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell's request to replace the Beastie Boys as headliners at the festival, opting to debut in front of some 1,100 super-psyched fans at the Metro, rather than 75,000 in Grant Park (tickets for the gig were announced via Foo Fighter/ QOTSA fan clubs). Meaning that, in a lot of ways, this was the most sought-after ticket in town.

Taking the stage just after midnight, the Vultures — Grohl on drums (of course), Homme on guitar and vocals, Jones on bass and keys and frequent QOTSA contributor Alain Johannes on guitar — ripped through 12 songs in 80 minutes, all taken from their upcoming debut, which may or may not be called Never Deserved the Future, and may or may not be hitting stores on October 23 (early "promo" videos touting both those facts were revealed over the weekend to be hoaxes perpetrated by QOTSA fans).

The songs, with appropriately Homme-ian titles like "Scumbag Blues," "Mind Eraser (No Chaser)," "Caligulove" and "Interlude w/Ludes," sounded pretty much how you'd expect, given the band's pedigree. They rocked, hard — Chicago Tribune critic Greg Kot described them as "fresh, invigorating and just plain nasty" — delving off into psychedelic, reverb-filled excursions and exploring proggy territory, "both of the old-school Yes variety, and the more modern Tool flavor," according to the Chicago Sun-Times' Jim DeRogatis.

It's not known if Monday's Metro performance was a one-off event for the Vultures — there have been whispers of a full-blown tour, but a spokesperson for Homme had not responded to MTV News' request for comment at press time. Nor was it clear whether or not they'll have an album out in October.

Early Monday, a Crooked Vultures Twitter account, which had previously posted links to the band's official-looking Web site and the Metro's online ticketing site — posted a link to what appears to be the group's first bit of official merchandise: a Deserve the Future T-shirt. Cost: $30.

Daniel Craig Returns As James Bond In 'Skyfall'

After a lot of turbulence at MGM and several false starts and stops, James Bond will officially be back in "Skyfall," announced early Thursday morning (November 3) at a press conference in London. The cast, led by returning 007 Daniel Craig, and director Sam Mendes appeared for the first time together to officially kick off filming, which begins today. The start date also happens to fall on the same date that Sean Connery was announced as the first Bond 50 years ago.

The press conference began in typical 007 style with the iconic theme song and the reveal of the title "Skyfall," which was more or less expected at this point. Soon after, the cast and Mendes took the stage.

Craig was joined by , who will play the villain, Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris and Bérénice Marlohe. Though they weren't present at the conference, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw will also star in the film, as previously reported.

Rumors have been circulating for months now about the supporting cast, and in recent weeks, the title "Skyfall" popped up on movie news websites after several URLs were registered.

In addition to unveiling the title, the press conference also revealed the official plot synopsis for the 23rd Bond film. According to the release, "Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost."

Mendes spoke about the place of "Skyfall" among Craig's other work as Bond, clarifying that the new film will stand on its own and "not connect with the last two movies."

Check out everything we've got on "Skyfall."

Coldplay, Led Zeppelin Album Covers Featured On New British Stamps

Album art from Pink Floyd, Blur and David Bowie also included.

Coldplay's new British stamps
Photo: Royal Mail

On Thursday (January 7), the U.K.'s Royal Mail unveiled a series of 10 new stamps, honoring the most iconic album covers of the past 40 years.

The albums featured in the new series are the Rolling Stones' Let It Bleed, Led Zeppelin's IV, David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells, The Clash's London Calling, New Order's Power, Corruption and Lies, Primal Scream's Screamadelica, Pink Floyd's The Division Bell, Blur's Parklife and — the most recent album on to make the cut — Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head.

Meant to honor "the most potent graphic images of modern times, many of which have provided a visual soundtrack to people's lives," the series is the end result of a lengthy research process by the Royal Mail, who looked through thousands of album covers by British artists before deciding on the final list. And, during a Wednesday night BBC Radio broadcast, it was revealed that the queen herself actually approved each design.

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page — who helped design the cover for IV — was on hand to celebrate the release of the stamps and recalled the mysterious nature of the album's iconic imagery.

"Almost 40 years after the album came out, nobody knows the old man who featured on the cover, nor the artist who painted him," he said. "That sort of sums up what we wanted to achieve with the album cover, which has remained both anonymous and enigmatic at the same time."

Of course, any great honor is befitting of an equally great contest, so, on the same day the stamps were made available to the general public, Coldplay decided to give one of their Rush of Blood stamps away. In a message on their official site, the band held a contest to send one lucky fan "a letter using a Coldplay stamp, postmarked with today's issue date."

"We visited our local post office earlier today and bought some of the Coldplay stamps," the message read. "Very nice they are too."

'Breaking Dawn' Exclusive Clip: Bella's Wedding Day

Sneak peek premieres during 'MTV First' with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

For all the "Twilight" fans out there — and, more specifically, the prone-to-swoon hopeless romantics — one of the most anticipated moments in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" is the wedding of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).

Fans have been buzzing about it for as long as we can remember, and on Thursday (November 3) — thanks to our exclusive "MTV First: Breaking Dawn" with Stewart, Pattinson and Taylor Lautner — we got another sneak peek at how sweet, emotional and beautiful those nuptials are going to be when we finally see them on the big screen, when the film opens November 18.

Our clip opens with Bella's mother Renee (Sarah Clarke) entering the room in which Alice (Ashley Greene) and Rosalie (Nikki Reed) are helping Bella get ready for her wedding day. "Oh my gosh, you're so beautiful," Mom says when she sees Bella, who is still in casual clothes but has her hair and makeup finished.

"Oh, honey — crap, my mascara!" Renee exclaims, at which point Alice hands her a tissue. "Thanks," she says, dabbing at her eyes. "Charlie, get in here!" she calls to Bella's father (played by Billy Burke).

Charlie pops his head into the frame tentatively. "You sure?" he asks, then walks slowly into the room, at which point Bella — seeing her dad all dolled up in a tuxedo — is so surprised she stands up out of her chair.

"I know," he says, seeing her reaction. "I look hot."

"We thought you needed something blue," Renee says to Bella as Charlie opens a jewelry case to reveal a jewel-encrusted decorative hair comb.

"And something old," Charlie adds. "Besides your mother," he jokes.

"Thanks," Renee scoffs.

"It was Grandma Swan's," Charlie tells Bella.

"But we added the sapphires," Renee adds as Bella picks up the comb for a closer look.

"It's beautiful, you guys," Bella says, handing the comb to Alice to put in her hair. "Wow. Thank you so much."

"It's your first family heirloom," Renee says. "You can pass it on to your daughter and her daughter," she adds, tearing up and dabbing her eyes, and the scene fades to black.

'Breaking Dawn' Wedding Is 'Ceremonial,' Kristen Stewart Says

Twilighters who caught the premiere of an exclusive new clip from "Breaking Dawn- Part 1" got a taste of all the emotions coursing through the lives of Bella and her family (both the Swans and the Cullens) as she readies herself to marry her immortal beloved, Edward.

On Thursday, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner introduced the clip and stuck around for a lengthy Q&A after the clip's debut, during which they opened up about all the highly anticipated moments from the November 18 film.

During the "MTV First" live stream, the "Breaking Dawn" trio took a video question from Tiffany, who wanted to know if Stewart kept her Carolina Herrera creation a secret from her fellow castmates until she walked down the aisle.

"Nobody saw it until I walked out, which made me so ... " Stewart said before trailing off. "It wasn't about the dress; it was just everything involved. I was like, ugh, so very the center of attention at that very moment."

The moment she's referring to was an emotional one for the cast, who had spent three movies working up to the long-awaited nuptials between Bella and Edward. While it's believed the groom shouldn't see the bride before the wedding, Pattinson broke with tradition, much to Stewart's dismay. "He saw it before," she recalled. "And I was like, 'No, you can't.' It did feel, like, very sort of realistically ceremonial."

It was so "realistically ceremonial" that Stewart couldn't help but feel some real emotions the day they shot the buzzed-about scene. "It was very, very emotional for me," Stewart said. "I don't know about these guys."

Michael Jackson Wasn't Addicted To Propofol, Expert Says

Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyers call their last two witnesses.
By Kara Warner

The involuntary manslaughter trial against former Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray is officially winding down, as the defense called its final two witnesses to the stand Thursday (October 27). Day 19 featured crucial testimony from addiction expert Robert Waldman and the man believed to be the defense's star witness, Dr. Paul White, a propofol expert.

The Witnesses
» Dr. Robert Waldman, addiction expert
» Dr. Paul White, anesthesiologist and propofol expert

Key Testimony
» Dr. Waldman testified that in examining the records of Jackson's use and reception of the sedative Demerol, the singer received unusually large doses of the drug and that Jackson had started to become immune to its potency. Waldman admitted, after a heated cross-examination by the prosecution, that while Jackson seemed to have a dependency on the drug, he was not addicted to it.

» At one point during cross-examination, Waldman was asked if he would consider administering a dangerous or harmful drug to a patient if the patient requested it. Waldman's response: "Absolutely."

» Dr. White kicked off the afternoon session by explaining to the court that he has been researching the use and effects of propofol since 1983, six years before it was approved by the FDA.

» When asked by the defense if he could justify administering propofol to a patient and then leaving that patient unsupervised, as Murray is said to have done, White said, "Absolutely not." He also stated that he wouldn't have expected Jackson to die from the amount of propofol Murray claimed he administered to the pop star. White is expected to take the stand again Friday when the trial resumes at 8:45 a.m. PT.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter. He faces four years in prison and the loss of his medical license.

'Twilight' Fan-Favorite Moment #2: Edward's Proposal

We're counting down your favorite 'Twilight Saga' moments before Rob, Kristen and Taylor join us live tonight at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV!
By Eric Ditzian

The proposal in "Eclipse"
Photo: Summit

Kristen Stewart was worried. Capturing Edward Cullen's proposal to Bella Swan in last year's "Eclipse" came with all sorts of potential hitches. A teen girl and a 100-plus-year-old vampire deciding to get married? A scene that legions of fans had been anticipating for years and which they'd undoubtedly scrutinize? Stewart didn't want to mess it up.

"Well, to decide you're gonna marry someone at 18 is a pretty hefty decision. And I didn't want to look stupid," the actress told us months before the film hit theaters. "I didn't want it to look like kids getting married. You know what I mean? I wanted to be, like, 'Oh! Wow! I would say yes too.' "

"Oh, wow" neatly summarizes moviegoers' reaction to the moment, because the proposal scene was picked as the #2 "Twilight" moment in our fan-voted poll. The ultimate winner will be announced today, just hours before the debut of "MTV First: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," our exclusive interview with Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. At 7:56 p.m. ET, the three stars will introduce a never-before-seen clip from the upcoming film, which arrives in theaters on November 18. The interview will then continue on MTV.com for a full 30 minutes.

Until then, take a trip back in time and relive that beloved proposal scene. Hear, once again, Edward announce, "Isabella Swan, I promise to love you every moment forever. Would you do me the extraordinary honor of marrying me?"

What do you think she answered? Right. And what do you think Stewart thought of the whole thing? "You try to do it for real, and it felt good," she told us.

Be sure to tune in to "MTV First: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," which kicks off Thursday, November 3, on MTV at 7:56 p.m. ET, followed by a Q&A with Kristen, Rob and Taylor on MTV.com!

'Breaking Dawn' Sex Scene 'Super Serious,' Robert Pattinson Jokes

'It's not just human sex. It's ... obviously blown a little bit out of proportion,' Kristen Stewart adds on 'MTV First.'

Of all the moments fans are eagerly awaiting to see after "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" hits theaters on November 18 — the wedding and infamous birth scene included — few can measure up to the hype surrounding Edward and Bella's first sex scene.

When MTV News' Josh Horowitz sat down with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner for "MTV First" and asked the cast questions submitted via Twitter, it was no surprise that the fans wanted to know more. One of the first questions asked was: "Rob and Kristen, was it extremely awkward filming the love scene in the movie? Were you guys laughing a lot throughout?"

Both Stewart and Pattinson turned quiet after hearing the question, and the answer was unanimous and definitely a joke. "Super serious," Pattinson said.

"Yeah, me too," Stewart agreed. The mood was certainly lighthearted and jokey, but Stewart ended up giving the question a serious answer. "Not to give anything away ... You've been working for so long, and it's also not real," Stewart said. "It's not just human sex. It's ... obviously blown a little bit out of proportion, slightly. It's kind of like the most important scene in the movie. It's so weird."

Pattinson agreed and shared his own, let's say, intimate experiences filming the love scene. "I just ended up thinking purely about vanity things," Pattinson said. "You're sitting there in a little g-string. ... They give me a big g-string, but it was too small for me. It was like old ham."

Not to be left out, Lautner shared his relief to have missed out on a g-stringing in "Breaking Dawn," but reminded everyone that he had his "fair share of g-strings in 'Eclipse.' "

Natalie Portman's Botanical Gardens Family Funday

Stepping out for a family fun day, Natalie Portman and her fianc Benjamin Millepied were spotted with their baby boy Aleph in Pasadena, CA on Saturday afternoon (November 5).

The Oscar-winning actress strolled alongside her beau as he toted their four and a half month old son through the grounds of the Huntington Botanical Gardens.

Meanwhile, now that she has a child of her own, Miss Portman recently spent time focusing her attention on the Los Angeles Public Schools.

According to the Huffington Post, the 30-year-old penned a letter to Superintendent John Deasy commending him for Los Angeles Unified's overhauled lunch menu, as well as the district's new "Golden Carrot Award."

Citing the dire need for healthy alternatives to cheeseburgers and soda, Natalie added, "I'm worried about my son's generation. Childhood obesity has hit a record high, and experts say that one in every three children born today will develop diabetes in his or her lifetime."

Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez's Belfast United Front

Putting up a united front amidst split rumors, Justin Bieber was alongside girlfriend Selena Gomez in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Saturday evening (November 5).

With the couple in town for Sunday night's MTV Europe Music Awards, the "Baby" hitmaker and his lady were spotted at the Merchant Hotel while lined up to partake in a charity event.

Tweeting about the evening outing, Justin wrote, "just received my first EMA this year...got the award for our charity work. I say OUR because we do it together...."

As for Justin's current baby drama, L.A. family law attorney Steve Mindel recently spoke with People magazine about what could come of Mariah Yeater's claim that she gave birth to a child fathered by Bieber.

Mindel told, "The judge has to weigh two things: Bieber's right to privacy versus the child's right to know who the father is. Unless the judge thinks the woman made everything up, the court will likely order the test as the quickest resolution."

Steve added, "If Bieber indeed never met this woman, a DNA test may be the only way to clear his name."

Kelly Clarkson: I Stalk Adele!

Proving to be one of her biggest fans, Kelly Clarkson has admitted to "stalking" fellow songstress Adele in hopes of nabbing a duet with her.

During a recent interview with MTV, the "Stronger" singer dished about the mass of female artists on the radio today, telling, "I always think it's healthy to have a lot of stuff out there, and there's room for everybody, because everybody is so different, especially all the women right now in the industry. We're all very different from each other, which I think is good. It keeps it not boring."

Kelly harkened back to a previous comment to the press, in which she told, "I want to punch Adele in the face! She is just too good," Kelly explained, "That's a term of endearment for me. I think maybe overseas that didn't read well. I meant more to be funny. She's just so talented; she's just so ridiculous it's upsetting."

As for teaming up with the "Someone Like You" singer, Miss Clarkson said she's trying her best land a collaboration, jokingly explaining, "I'm stalking her currently through interviews. Every interview, they are like, 'Who do you want to work with?' 'Adele! I want to do a duet with Adele!' " Clarkson said. "I've been stalking her since we did '[VH1] Divas' together, actually, and we were supposed to sing together, and then they changed the concept to where we would sing with somebody from a different generation. That was actually really cool, because I got to sing with Melissa Etheridge, and she's amazing. That wasn't like a letdown or anything, but I've been trying to sing with [Adele] for a while."

'Tower Heist' And 'Harold & Kumar' Battle For Social Media Buzz

It's a battle of the comedies on NextMovie's new MovieTracker.
By Eric Ditzian

Ben Stiller and Gabourey Sidibe in "Tower Heist"
Photo: Universal Pictures

For the past few days, following an early Times Square screening, the MTV Newsroom has been buzzing about "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas." "Can you believe it was actually damn funny?" one movie nerd would say to another. "I mean, the last one stunk."

That's the buzz in here. And out there too, a fact that our friends at NextMovie have made abundantly clear with their new MovieTracker, a cool application boasting a fancy-schmancy algorithm that measures what people are saying on Twitter and Facebook and lets us know which movies people are psyched about. Think of it like a Billboard music chart, but instead of tracking album sales, it tracks Internet movie buzz in real time.

As of this writing, "Harold & Kumar" has risen to the #2 slot, with loads of positive tweets coming in. The public seems to be in agreement with star John Cho, who told MTV News recently of his onscreen partnership with Kal Penn, "We are without a doubt the best Korean-Indian stoner comedy duo in cinematic history."

It's going to be a very comedy-centric weekend at the multiplex, which is honestly a bit confounding from a programming standpoint. Yes, the hard-R "Harold & Kumar" and the PG-13 "Tower Heist" are targeting different moviegoers, but there's undoubtedly some overlap between those two audiences. And "Tower Heist" is going to come out on top, even if it's currently trending one notch below "Harold & Kumar" on the MovieTracker. (Last week's big winner, "Paranormal Activity 3," was planted at #1 at press time.) Expect "Tower Heist," starring Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy, to reel in around $30 million this weekend. "Harold & Kumar" will probably fall shy of the $20 million mark.

Will the MovieTracker adjust to reflect these box-office predictions? Keep checking back to see what's up and what's down, what's buzzing and what's bombing all weekend long.

Check out everything we've got on "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas" and "Tower Heist."
