Taylor Armstrong Says Daughter Never Saw Russell Hit Her

Taylor Armstrong Says Daughter Never Saw Russell Hit Her

Taylor Armstrong has made no bones about the fact that her marriage to late husband Russell Armstrong was an abusive one. But it seems that Russell at least had the good sense to keep his hands off Taylor while their daughter was present. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight (to be aired next Tuesday), Taylor says that her 5-year-old daughter Kennedy never saw Russell hit her.

In addtion, ET revealed on Wednesday that Russell sought to change his will six weeks before his suicide, but never finished the process.

As the accusations continue to fly against Russell, who committed suicide on Aug. 15, more reports are surfacing about his history of assault and battery.

According to Radar Online, he had had two separate temporarly restraining orders against him -- one filed by his ex-wife Barbara and the other by an ex-girlfriend -- before his marriage Taylor. Russell also pled guilty to battery in 1997.

Russell Armstrong was married to Barbara Armstrong in 1997 and they separated shortly after their son Aiden was born (who is now 13 years old). In numerous court documents, Barbara Armstrong claims that Russell beat her while she was pregnant, threw things at her and gave her black eyes, claims that now sound very familiar in the wake of Taylor's similar stories. Russell was forced by the court to undergo an anger management program, something he seemed to desperately need, but which obviously didn't take.

In 2004, Barbara says she got a call from Russell's girlfriend Claudia Haro, informing Barbara that she had witnessed Russell slapping Aiden across the face. Court documents state: "This slap was so hard that Ms. Haro heard it across the room. Ms. Haro has seen and heard Russell slap Aiden's face very hard on other occasions."

Haro eventually went on to make abuse accusations and get a restraining order of her own, claiming that Russell "hit me in the face so hard that my neck snapped back."

All in all, it's a tale of a very angry man who couldn't control himself around the women he supposedly loved. ET will broadcast its interview with Taylor on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
